She was born on October 21, 1941 in Mount Pleasant, Texas to Herbert and Lula Ferguson. Mary was raised in Mount Pleasant, Texas. She became a Manager of Internal Affairs for ATT, where she worked for more than 20 years.
In her spare time, Mary enjoyed rescuing many animals personally, as was as making contributions to the SPCA, which was very near to her heart. Mary loved to travel with her beloved sister, Rita, crossing the USA and Canada over their lifetimes. She treasured family and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a sweet, generous, funny, smart, and vibrant woman. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Wilma Ferguson (Wallace), Betty Ruth Burnett, and Rita Ferguson; her brothers, Bobby "Gene" Ferguson, H.M. Ferguson, Ralph Ferguson, and Ronald Ferguson; as well as her father, Herbert Ferguson, and her mother, Nancy "Lula" Ferguson.
She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
