Michael Larry Stone, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed on April 5th, 2026, at the age of 63. Born May 9, 1962, in Kosciusko, MS, and resided in Mesquite, Tx. He is survived by sisters, Laura McCullough (Gary) of Garland, Tx, Rhonda Salazar (Tim) of Winona, Tx, and Sheina Stone of Mesquite, Tx, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Dean Stone, and his mother, Shelba Ann Cook.
Some of the things he enjoyed were classic rock, a good BBQ cookout, fishing, John Wayne, and the Dallas Cowboys. He also liked to listen to political podcasts, and he would come up with his own theories on how something could have happened or why it happened. And he wouldn’t mind debating you on them. He had a way of making you see things differently. He was strong-willed and hard to get to know, but he was a good person with a good heart, and he cared about his family deeply. He was taken from us way too soon, and he will be greatly and forever missed.
