Shirl Patterson

She will always be remembered as a beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.

Shirl grew up in the Dallas area, graduating from Kimball High School in Oak Cliff before going on to attend beauty school. While she didn't end up pursuing a career in cosmetology, she later went on to work in human resources. She worked for Preferred care partners for over twenty years until her passing.

Shirl Married Anthony Guy Patterson and they spent 39 beautiful years together before her passing.

When not working she loved spending time gardening and with her family. She was a caregiver to her family, the rock that was always there to support them, and the glue that keeps them together.

Shirl was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Cole and her beloved Maranda Patterson.

She is survived by her mother, Olar Mozzelle Cole; husband Anthony Guy Patterson; Daughter Kelly Kayleen Grizzle and husband Michael; Son, Brian Scott Todd; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and numerous loving friends and extended family members.
