

Willie Boatman, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Friday March 06, 2026 in Richardson, TX. He will always be remembered as a loving father, husband, brother and friend, to all that knew and loved him. He was born on January 08, 1958 in Dallas, TX to Herman and Glenda Boatman.
Willie loved spending time in the woods, hunting and socializing with his friends. He also loved to bingo with his wife, daughters and friends at local bingo halls. He was proud to show off the vegetables that he grew in the garden, often times offering bags of produce to friends and family. There was always a competition of amount and size of the peppers that he produced. He was also an avid dog lover, always having a furry companion by his side. He also loved the farm life, raising livestock such as horses, cows, pigs, goats, chickens and emus. He is also an award winning domino player and a talented musician who loved to sing in the church choir. Willie spent the majority of his life in a semi, logging millions of miles driving coast to coast. He loved visiting new places and being on the road.
Willie is survived by his wife Sherry Boatman of Dallas, TX, eldest daughter Tabatha Thomas and husband Binu Thomas of Wylie, TX, youngest daughter Kristi Boatman and husband Zach Usry of Rowlett, TX, nieces Nora Smith of Balch Springs, TX, Crystal Boatman of Commerce, TX, and Michelle Boatman of Greenville, TX. He is survived by nephew Eddie Polege of Kaufman, TX, great nieces Christy Drake of Wills Point, TX, Lacey & Beto Matamoros of Combine, TX, and Sam Polege of Canton, TX. He is also survived by several cousins and extended family.
Willie is preceded in death by his grandmother Ora Ann Precise of Balch Springs, TX, Father and Mother Herman & Glenda Boatman of Balch Springs, TX, Brother Michael “Mike” Boatman of Greenville, TX, Brother & Sister In-Law Howard & Ann Free of Kaufman, TX, Pastor Don & Gaile Brooks of Kaufman, TX, Niece Donna Polege of Kaufman, TX along with several other extended family members.
The visitation will be held from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. on Thursday March 12, 2026 at Roselawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens located in Seagoville, TX. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday March 14, 2026 at Roselawn Funeral Home & Memorial Garden. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow at Roselawn Chapel.
