Anatalio was born in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, Philippines and emigrated to Kauai, Hawaii in 1946. His induction into the United States Army in 1950 marked the beginning of over twenty years of military service which included a tour in Korea, assignment to Fort Ord, settling in Seaside and two tours in Vietnam. Among his awards were the following: United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal (with three Bronze Service Stars), Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal (1st Oak Leaf Cluster and 2nd Oak Leaf Cluster). Upon retirement from active duty, Anatalio began his second career as a civil servant with the Department of Defense. Soon after, he became a rental property owner and manager; the business he established continues to be family owned and operated to this day.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Justina; sons, Anthony and Roger (Vivian); granddaughter, Taylor Moises; siblings, Francesca Pacleb and Enrico Moises; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Inocencio and Maria; siblings Beatriz Claro, Crispino Moises, Paulina Antonio, and Rufino Moises.
