A. Richard ?DICK? Hatala, 66, passed away Nov. 12, 2007, at the Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, WA. He was born August 16, 1941 in Braddock, Pennsylvania. Dick resided in Woodinville, WA. Dick Graduated from the Univ. of Pittsburgh in 1961 as a civil/structural design engineer and was involved in many of the high rise buildings that form the Seattle skyline. He also enjoyed the outdoors. Skiing, camping, hiking, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by: his wife of 42 yrs, Louise; a son Scott and his wife Quinn, of Monroe; daughter Kristin and husband Brian, of Pullman; and five grandchildren-John, Brandon, Evan, Jayson Brooke, Kiersten Brianne; his mother, Anamae Hatala of Chicago, Ill; his brother Dan of PA, and two sisters, Fran Oko of Co and Karen Mrazsko in ILL. Visitation will be held at Evergreen-Washelli Bothell Funeral Home, Friday, Nov.16, noon to 7:00 with services held on Sat., Nov 17, 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Virginia Mason Foundation for Cancer Research P.O.
