Before moving to the Firs Retirement Home in Olympia, Washington in 1988, she was born, raised, and thrived in Seattle for eighty-one years. Alma & Clyde Conover, her husband of fifty-two years, owned and operated two Taverns and a Grocery Store. She worked and retired from Albertson’s food market on Magnolia. Alma loved to drive (which she did all the way up to her 99th Birthday), play Bridge and Pinochle, go for walks, and, most importantly, all of her grandchildren, of whom she was most proud.
Alma’s beloved husband, Clyde Conover, her son, Michael Conover, and her two sisters, Ida Wickstrum & Eudrey Nichols, all preceded her in death. Alma leaves her son, Fred Brockman, 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and many, many dear ones to cherish her loving memory.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service at the Firs, located at 426 Lilly Road Northeast, Olympia, WA 98506 on Thursday, April 12th,2018 at 2:00pm and an intimate Remembrance Ceremony will be held in her honor on Monday, April 16th, 2018 at 1:30 pm, inside of Washington Memorial Park’s Mausoleum, located at 16445 International Boulevard, SeaTac, Washington 98188, where she will be laid to rest.
