Amada Nuestro Villaluz

Amada Villaluz, lovingly known as Nanay, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 26, 2023, in Shoreline, Washington surrounded by her loved ones. Amada, born on September 18, 1933 in Mabacao Maragundon, Cavite, Philippines, was the oldest of four siblings. In 1951, she married the love of her life, Efren Villaluz, and together they had nine children.

Amada’s husband, Efren Villaluz, preceded her in death after 66 years of marriage. She is survived by her children; Biena Polinder, Eranio Villialuz, Ronaldo Villaluz, Efren Villaluz Jr., Jeannie Johnson, Armando Villaluz, and Joey Villaluz. She is also survived by her 20 grandchildren; Dennis Jr., Jayson, Johnathan, Anne, Rose, Jerica, Ashley, Chris, EJ, Erin, Kevin, Michael, Anthony, Jay-Jay, Greson, Michelle, Lindsay, Ryan, Kara, Jaydee and her 10 great grandchildren; Dyllan, Julian, Ayzianna, De’Marius, Maylana, Jayven, Adrian, Charleigh, Isabelle, and Aniyah. Additionally, she leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Amada was a devoted member and deaconess of Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ), and her unwavering faith in God was a cornerstone of her life. She possessed a remarkable gift for sewing and cooking, and she used these talents to bring her family together during the holidays and gatherings. Her love, care, and generosity extended to everyone she met. Amada excelled in her role as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and mother-in-law. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life, and they brought her immense love and joy. We were truly blessed to have experienced her deep-rooted love for her family.

Amada was a strong, determined, and fiercely independent woman, and her presence will be sorely missed every day.

A visitation for Amada will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133. A gathering of family and friends will occur Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133. A committal service will occur Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 12:15 PM at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133.
