Avenue in Seattle, to Demosthenes and Aphrodite Nerantzine Mulenos, immigrants
from the Greek Islands. She grew up in Seattle’s University District, attending University
Heights Elementary School and John Marshall Junior High, and graduated from
Roosevelt High School.
As a young woman, she drew accolades as an operatic soprano, and music soon
became her joy. She recalled childhood memories of her home filled with company and
sharing her love of music with her father playing his guitar. She loved performing and
singing all throughout her time at Marshall and Roosevelt.
Angelina directed the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Choir for over a decade.
As an adult, she achieved her associate degree and worked as a program coordinator
for the City of Seattle. Angelina was known for her gourmet cooking skills and hosted
many lavish dinner parties for family and friends.
On August 30, 1975, she married the love of her life, Henry “Hank” Ernest Larson. Hank
and Angelina enjoyed a wonderful, loving and respectful life together. They were
devoted to each other until Hank’s passing in 2014. Hank and Ange (as he called her)
traveled the world together, including to Hank’s birthplace in Boden, Sweden and visits
to Angelina’s half-brother and relatives in Greece. They enjoyed their winters in
Honolulu on Waikiki beach and their nightly walks along their beloved Shilshole Bay.
Angelina is survived by her 4 children, her 2 stepdaughters and over 25 grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her unbounded spirit, endless
generosity, extraordinary energy and determination, and enduring will for life, love and
faith. We will miss her hugs and kisses and remarkable capacity to love and be loved.
