Age 89, passed away at his Seattle residence on Sept. 9, 2010. He was born on April 23, 1921 in Cecis, Latvia to Peteris and Anna Berkolds. He has been a resident of the Seattle area since 1951 where he established his career as an Owner/ Director of the Medical Center Laboratory in Ballard. He took great pride as the President of the Latvian Association of the State of Washington for over a decade.
Arvids is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ilze; 3 children, Karlis (Trudy) Krastins, Scarlett (Aivars) Osvalds, Paul (Andra) Berkolds; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many loving extended family and friends.
