Billie Jo Therson, 78, passed away on Feb 15th, in Kirkland, Wa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry. She is survived by her children, Pericles and Annette, her grandchildren, Stavros and Marisa, and daughter-in-law, Emily. Her husband of 54 years had been completely enamored by her since the day they met. He doted on her every minute until he passed away. When Billie Jo became a grandmother, her face lit up instantly. She adored and loved Stavros and Marisa very much and loved being called ‘Yiayia’. She was known as ‘the sweetest person in the world’. She loved baking cookies, bread, and making raspberry jam. Billie Jo was a faithful attendee of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. She made a name for herself by sewing several adorable handmade items and donating them to the Greek Festival every year. So many people at church and in the community lovingly remember her by the handmade things she made like baskets, teddy bears, and quilts just to name a few. She was an outstanding wife, mother, yiayia, sister, aunt, and friend to those who loved her the most. She will be remembered with sweet, loving memories and will be dearly missed. Her funeral service will be held at St. Demetrios 2100 Boyer Ave E, in Seattle at noon on Monday, Feb 22nd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Demetrios. May her memory be eternal.
