Calvin Raymond Steele

After High School he joined the Navy at 17. He served his country in the submarine service on the USS Toro and loved sharing his adventures of that time.

In 1962 he married the love of his life, Peggy Sue Hargett. Together they had two children, Ray and Rachel. Cal was utterly devoted to his family and they to him. He passed away on February 5, 2021.

Cal started his career at the beginning of corporate computing at Allstate working up from Tab Operator to System Engineer and then moved to Cascade Natural Gas starting as a Programmer and ultimately retiring as Vice President of Information Technology.

He loved traveling with Peggy, reading Science Fiction, and movies of all kinds. He and Peggy were avid Square Dancers for 37 years, dancing through the C2 level internationally until his Parkinson's limitations interfered. He was a kind and generous man with a quick wit. Cal was loved by many

Cal is survived by his wife Peggy of 58 years, his son Ray Steele and daughter Rachel Steele.

He will be missed dearly.
