Carol McGrew was born in Los Angeles on January 8, 1944 and adopted by her parents, Harriet and Harold Gulde. When she was younger she very much enjoyed being part of the church community and singing in the choir with her friends. She had a daughter Julie, born in 1964 whom she put up for adoption. In 1966 she met - and in the following year married - Don McGrew. In 1970 their son Mark was born and then had a daughter Heidi in 1979.
When Julie was 18 she and Carol reconciled and established a bond that lasted until the final days. About seven years ago carol found her biological sister Charlyn and bonded immediately so much so that she also was there in her final moments. Along the way she was given two grandsons, Tyler and Ryan from Mark and his wife Kara. In the last year she was able to participate in the wedding of her daughter Heidi and Jake.
Her loved ones and friends were there alongside her until she departed to be alongside her family waiting for her in Heaven.
