Born on January 3,1926, in Cashmere, Washington, she grew up in Wenatchee, Washington, where she met Michael Heathman, and married in 1947. Charlotte, or ‘Betty’ as she was known to many, built a family with her husband and raised seven children. Together, they traveled the world, and along with their children, lived in numerous cities across the United States.
Charlotte’s legacy is one of unconditional love and generosity. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone she met, whether through her husband or children, her artistic talent, or her resilient spirit. Her bright, joyful smile, and radiant blue eyes instantly put people at ease and made them feel valued.
Those thankful for sharing in Charlotte’s life include her daughters Christine Heathman, Stephanie Heathman Tinsley, Kimberly (Gary) Heathman Fong and Shana (Richard) Malsch, son’s Kelly (Helen) Heathman and Harry (Rita) Heathman, fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and five great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Micheal Glen Heathman; her children, Micheal Glen Heathman Jr. and Michaelyn Ann Heathman; and her grandson, Heath Tinsley.
Charlotte requested a private graveside service, which our family will be honoring on Friday, January 24 at 12:00 noon. Memorials in Charlotte’s honor, by her request, may be donated to Seattle Children’s Hospital and Medical Center through their website, seattlechildrens.org
