Dale is survived by his son, Brandon H. Nass, of Mountlake Terrace, WA; two grandchildren, Makaila and Braydon Nass; his brother, Tom Nass and sister-in-law, LeeAnn Nass, of Covina, CA and sister, Leah Richardson, of Liberty Lake, WA, as well as many other family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lola Nass and a sister, Camille M. Nass (who died in infancy).
Dale was born on April 9, 1956 in Seattle, WA. He graduated from Ballard High School in 1975 and in December, of that same year, married Debbie Favel, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Ballard. At the age of 27, he and Debbie became the proud parents of their only son, Brandon (who later blessed them with two beautiful grandchildren). He and Debbie divorced after a 26-year marriage. Dale maintained a career as a licensed Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver. In 2015, he retired as a Cement Truck Driver from Salmon Bay Sand & Gravel Company and was a long-time member of Teamsters Local 174.
Seattle was always home to Dale. He began life in his family home in Seattle on N. W. 78th Street and his life ended abruptly in the kitchen of his home on N. W. 84th Street, Seattle. It seems fitting, as Dale loved to cook for himself, as well as a crowd of family/friends. He had many other interests/hobbies, to include: music, watersports, snow skiing, car restoration, fishing and hunting. Although he could be as "frugal" as they come, he also had a big, generous heart. A man who loved going fast (whether on land or water), "cranking up the tunes", weaving stories of the past, and bringing laughter to those with whom he spent time. He will be missed by many.
A graveside gathering is scheduled for Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery, Seattle, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dale's life. Words of comfort can be left for Dale's family by clicking the tributes tab below his name.
