Although I only knew David for a relatively short time, he brightened my life so very much with our new friendship.  I enjoyed each and every moment I got to spend with David and will never forget him!

David was a happy, kind, generous, loving, witty, and all in all, a fabulous gentleman and I am very honored and happy to have known him.   I have David in a very special place in my heart and will keep him there forever!!

To the Jenkins family:  

I am so very sorry and sad to hear of David's sudden death.  I wish all of you well and know that you will treasure your memories of David forever,  and also know and remember that he is in a "better place" and his suffering and pain is no longer.  

David was loved by so many people!

Dave was always a friend to anyone in need and one of the most non-judgmental people we've known.  Our world has shrunk and is so much less without Dave being a part of it.  Our hearts are heavy and so saddened with our loss of a good friend.

All of you are in my thoughts and prayers with the passing of Dave.  When I read the comments about his outboard racing, I had a clear picture of all the outboards on trailers in front of your house.  I also remember going down to Green Lake with you when he was racing.

Frank and Joyce, I hope that all is well with you.  I have wonderful memories of both you from lving across the street as I was growing up.

It is hard to think of Dave without smiling.  A fine and gentle man of simple needs, he was a friend to all he met.  Generous to a fault, he would have gladly given away his coat in a  snowstorm. He taught us all about grace and strength in the presence of physical pain and showed us all the beauty of believing in the power of the human spirit. We are all better for having known Dave.  We will miss his big grin and heartfelt "How are you?"  And I will always smile when I 
think of him - with love and gratitude and a thankful peace that comes when the battle is over.

My wife and I were very sorry to learn of Dave's passing.  He and I have known each other since before H.S.  We met through mutual friends Duncan Buchanan and Ross Nooney.  Later he came to the parties down in the basement of my parents home. I recall watching him racing boats on the Sammamish Slough and on Green Lake.  I haven't seen Dave for many years but he will always be in my memories.  He always seemed to be happy and upbeat even tho he at times was in a lot of pain caused by the Go- Kart accident.  Our condolences to his family and other close friends.
