

David James Syson, 57, of Snohomish, WA passed away peacefully on August 16, 2017 at his home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A man who always put family first, was kind to everyone, and easily made friends with a bright smile and warm personality. Dave was a lifelong athlete who discovered a passion for baseball while coaching his two son's many little league teams. He continued his coaching career at Snohomish high school as a JV coach. Known for his motivational style, The Coach Dave Syson Inspirational Player of the Year award was established in his honor. His hobbies included woodworking, fishing and building docks. Dave is survived by his wife Mary Beth; their 4 children Krysta (Josh), Bradley, Lexi and Andrew; their nine grandchildren Kaydence, Peyton, Kaelyn, Anacely, Teegan, Paisley, Aubrielle, Briar, and Alister; his five sisters Kathy Nieto (Rene), Vicki Syson-Villedas (Daniel), Vicki Stiles (Orben), Kerri Foust (Stephen), and Beth Graham (Bob); his brother Bernie Botz (Julie). He is also survived by his parents Rick and Joy Syson of Normandy Park, as well as many extended family members. Rosary and viewing will be held at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 10100 192nd St. NE, Bothell, WA on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 6:00 PM. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at St. Brendan Church at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery in Shoreline. Arrangements are being handled by Lifetime Celebrations by Washelli, 18224 103rd Ave NE, Bothell, WA.
