He was born on St. Patrick’s Day in Seattle to Mary Margaret and Harry Wenger. He attended West Seattle High School and Central Washington University. Dave was a Commander in the United States Coast Guard and was very proud to serve his country. He had a long fulfilling career in Transportation and Marine Services.
We could not have asked for a more loving, generous, and happy man to be a part of our lives. We are all so grateful for the amazing memories he created for his family and friends. Dave loved spending time at the cabin rowing out to set the crab pots or playing on the beach with his kids and grandkids. His passion for golf inspired many to take up the sport. He will be toasted by many with each round of golf. Dave will be forever missed by his wife, Gail, children Sharon Kneip (Neal), David Wenger (Kimberlie) and Joanne Wenger, his grandchildren, Cadie, Jessica, Michael and AJ Kneip, Max and Gage Wenger, his brother Tim Wenger, sister Mary Susan Brooks, and several other family and friends.
The family is holding a private service and a gathering to celebrate Dave’s life will be at a later date.
