Dennis was born to Pauline Schreiner and Stefan Tasoff on October 8, 1937, in Seattle, Washington. He had four sisters – Helene, Patricia, Stephanie, and Kathleen – all of whom he remained close to throughout his life.
In 1957, Dennis married his high school sweetheart, Sandra Strigen. They went on to have three children – Steve, Stacy, and Jeff. Dennis was a machinist and had a successful 35-year career at The Boeing Company. In 1977, Sandy and Dennis moved to Arlington, where they lived the remainder of their years.
Dennis filled his retired years with farming, collecting, traveling, tinkering, and socializing. He was a lover of all creatures great and small; he had numerous cats, cows, goats, and even a monkey! He will be fondly remembered for his kindness, generosity, and keen ability to see the humanity in us all. A gifted conversationalist, Dennis knew no strangers and made friends and connections everywhere he went. His family was his greatest joy.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline and Stefan Tasoff; his wife, Sandy Tasoff; sister Helene Erickson; and daughter, Stacy Hoag. He is survived by his sons, Steve Tasoff and Jeff (Debbie) Tasoff; son-in-law, Brad Hoag; sisters, Patricia Carroll, Stephanie Reeck, and Kathy (Bill) Warmouth; grandchildren Tyler (Crystal) Hoag, Christopher (Ashley) Hoag, Connor Tasoff, Natalie (Mark) Chen, and Bailey (TJ) Kendall; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and everyone who knew him.
