Dennis Ray Wiley was born September 15, 1958 in Monroe, Louisiana to the parents of Robert Jackson and Gloria Wiley (Rainwater). Dennis was raised by Wille and Ethel Bradford in Calhoun, Louisiana where he graduated from Central High School in 1977 and attended college in Oklahoma on a basketball scholarship.
By trade Dennis was a professional truckdriver and he enjoyed sharing stories of his life on the road. In his pastime he was an avid football fan and during football season enjoyed watching his favorite team The New Orleans Saints take the field each week.
Dennis relocated to Seattle in 2017, where he resided with his mother Gloria Jean Rainwater and his Stepfather. During this time, Dennis was able to reconnect with his family and embrace his new status as a Washingtonian.
Dennis leaves behind his mother, Gloria Rainwater, sisters; Regina Rainwater, Sheila Blount (Kenneth), nieces; Briana Rainwater, Ciera Blount and nephew Isaiah Blount, and 6 great nephews: Jussiah, Jeramiah, Zakai, Antonio, Alexander, and Hakean, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
While Dennis’ time in Seattle was short and there were so many things left for him to experience; the many opportunities he was afforded was possible because of the loving support and assistance of his many family members; specifically, his aunt Mary J Wafer and cousin Pamela Davis who walked along his side in every step of his journey in this new place he called home.
We thank God for the time we had with Dennis and for the memories which we will keep close to our hearts. God Bless you Dennis we love you and you will be missed.
