Dimples Marie Miller passed away peacefully on September 1, 2007 at her home. She was born on May 3, 1917 in Austin, TX to Isaac and Clara Woods who preceded her in death. She met and married Earnest L. Miller who preceded her in death. In the early 1960?s they owned and operated a restaurant call ?The El Rancho Caf??. After leaving the restaurant business in 1970 she was employed at the University of Washington as the head cook at Terry-Lander Hall. She retired as the head cook at the University of Washington?s Crew House. She is preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Woods of Seattle, WA; brothers, Walter Woods of Austin, TX and Eddie Woods of Seattle, WA and niece Rebecca Yancy of Seattle, WA.
Dimples is survived by her lifetime partner, Herbert Spriggs; daughters, Ginny Miller and Sandra Banks of Seattle, WA; sons Jeffrey and Anthony Jackson of Seattle, WA; sister, Dorothy Hill of Austin, TX; nephew, Jack Ballinger of Austin TX; niece, Clara Cabo of Seattle, WA; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
