My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to Lois and family.
I'm so glad I saw him in Sept., 2016 after so many years, and also able to say my last Goodbyes.

Doug was my cousin and I have some memories when we were younger as kids.  The Henning Families would gather at Aunt Lillian and Uncle Art’s for Sunday dinners.  We played baseball, picked peas and other vegetables.  We played in the hay in their barn.  As kids we went to Orcas every summer and Doug’s family would come up several times and we would play on the beach.  As we got older Doug and Lois would come to Rosario and sometimes we would see them.  Doug and Lois were Husky fans like us.  Many more good memories.  Doug will be missed.

Doug always looked on the bright side of life with a smile that was contagious everywhere he went. He was supportive of me throughout my younger years by attending my sports games and extracurricular events along with Lois and they even allowed me to have my Senior graduation at their classy Lake Tapps clubhouse.  I was lucky to experience Hawaii together with Doug on a number of occasions, and I think that his smile shown even brighter when he was there.  Just to support me, they took trips down to Southern California to attend my wedding and multiple trips to participate in the Feel Good Film Festival, helping babysit Tiger Lilee as Dominic and I were busy coordinating the success of the event. Doug was a man of God and the spirit shone through him with the way he cared for Lois constantly sacrificing to ensure she was cared for 100% of the time. Their relationship of over 50 years in love is one that will always be remembered. 

Douglas and I were soldiers during the Vietnam War, but we were more than soldiers, we were Brothers in arms. By chance we were both on Okinawa for a few days, where we talk and told stories of our experiences on the battle field. Me in Vietnam and Doug in Korea. I will always remember those days we had together on Okinawa. I will miss him until we meet again. For now memories give me sorrow and happiness at the same time. Love you Doug

We were the awesome three some. I remember our time one summer when Dad andMom took us to the  Oregon coast and we all played in the coastal sand dunes.
We also like going to Grandma and Grandpas house in Edmonds we would eat raspberries right off the vine. I remember the times we played in the hay loft at Aunt Lillian’s Uncle Arts farm in Snohomish

Doug was truly my ROCK, always my inspirational and positive brother.  It's hard to express my sorrow with words.  I will always honor him and remembered him as my role model.  I have way too many fabulous memories of growing up together and of those experiences throughout our lives to begin to recall at this point.   I am thankful I had the opportunity to be with him during his last days.  It's not easy to say goodbye.  He will be greatly missed by all.
