I can't believe it has been 1 year since you left us. You probably had no idea how
much you were loved or how much you affected people's lives. I found a poem
that pretty much says it all.
The Day God Took You Home
A million times I've needed you, a million times I've cried.
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place no one else can ever fill.
It broke my heart to lose you but you didn't't go alone.
Part of me went with you the Day that God Took You Home.

MISS YOU EDNA,Im the one you said made you laugh. You were such a sweet lady I loved hugging and talking to you.

It been 6 months since you left us though it seems like only yesterday.  We share memories of your stay at Avalon Care Facility - where you thoroughly enjoyed yourself. Then January 20th, 2015 you decided it was time to join your family and friends  happily awaiting your arrival in heaven - and yes, what a celebration that must have been.  We think of you and miss you everyday.  Until we meet again.

Grandma, you really were an amazing lady!  So many fond memories of you from my childhood to adulthood. I'm so happy that my 3 kids were able to spend time with their Great Grandma.  You will be missed so much by all of us! xoxo

I had the good fortune to care for Edna for 1.5 years. Heart and humor were hallmarks of the time I got to spend with her. I am grateful we met.

Happy 100th Birthday greetings sent to you in Heaven.  I have such fond memories of you as I was growing  up.  Your huge smile and soft voice, you were always so loving and generous, we couldn't wait to get the huge box at Christmas time from Aunt Edna and Uncle Bob.  We love you.   Gina Steen

Oh Grandma - 99 years, 11 months and 4 days - you really set the bar high and what a wonderful life you had lived!

I know you brought a lot of joy to the staff at Avalon Care Center in Federal Way just from the way the staff would share stories of what you were doing which included your adventures/mischiefs.  I remember one time when mom and I went to visit you, we learned that one night you were a "code yellow".  A "code yellow" meant that you were missing.  All the staff were looking for you.  Mark, a nurse at the time, had said he looked inside a meeting room and did not see you and for some reason, he went back to that meeting room and looked around the corner and found you at the counter, minding your own business and stacking styrofoam cups.  They knew you had to be somewhere.  You really meant a lot to the staff who took care of you and you definitely lived life to the fullest while you were there.

I feel so blessed to have so many memories of you that I will cherish for the rest of my life.  Please know that you have a special place in my heart.  I miss you - until we meet again. With Love, your granddaughter Teresa and husband Bill
