Gerene Louise Bohannon

Born February 6, 1946 in Seattle to Karl and Medora "Toots" Cotton, died November 30, 2007 in Seattle after a courageous battle against ovarian cancer at age 61. Following her graduation from Roosevelt H.S. in 1964, she received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Special Education from the UW. She taught elementary and special education for the Lake Washington School District for 25 years, retiring in 1994 to accompany her husband to Coeur d'Alene ID. Gerene participated in studies related to cancer, particular to women. She was a member of Gold Canyon United Methodist Church, Gold Canyon, AZ. Gerene loved playing the piano, bridge, golf, and participating in outdoor activities with her husband. Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her loving husband, Ralph "Bo" Bohannon of Wenatchee and stepsons, Mike Nancy and Terry "Bo" Carlene Bohannon; 5 grandchildren; sister, Karleen Cotton; niece, Denise Steve Boileau; nephew, Jon Sandra White and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 4, 2008, 2:00PM; Bothell United Methodist Church 18515 92nd Ave NE. Next to Bothell HS Bothell, WA. 98011.
