Chao on June 23, 1995 in Issaquah, WA. After a long career with the FDA he retired in 2001. In post retirement years he focused on healthy eating and fitness.
Gordon was a member of the local triathlon club and loved competing in triathlons. He was actively training and was scheduled to compete in the World Triathlon in Chicago on September 19th. He is survived by his wife of 20 years; sisters, Carol North (Brad) and Kathleen Montgomery (Ted); nephews, Rev. Brian North (Gwen) and Kyle Montgomery (Courtney); nieces, Christine Cooper (Craig) and Lisa Bedard (Mike, and ten grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Philip Gray.
