Married Kay Yamaguchi, 1953 (deceased 2009). Survived by siblings Ted Arase (Elizabeth, NY), Yuki Kanegaye (Jack, L.A.), and Betty Okamura (Gene), daughter Linda Mamiya (Guy), grandchildren Megan Mamiya and Lauren Valdez ("PJ"), great-grandchild Emiko, son Gary (Janet, Phoenix), grandchildren Jonathan, Nathan and Karissa, son David, and many nieces and nephews.
