Born on April 1, 1906 in Isla Verde Batangas, Philippines. He passed away peacefully on August 21, 2001. He immigrated with his wife Florencia ?Isyang? Escarez, and his children to the United States in 1975 and settled in Seattle, Washington. He will be remembered as a dignified man of few words, a loving patriarch who worked very hard to secure his 11 children a good life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Isyang and is survived by his sons, Efren, Pol, Tom, Robert, Ireneo Jr. and their wives; daughters, Leonor, Lucena, Lydia, Minda, Fely, Lilia and their husbands; 30 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Rafael Escarez and many other relatives.
