
Janet Dedrick Douglas, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior, after a long battle with Alzheimer?s disease on June 1, 2007 in Seattle, WA. She was born in Rhinelander, WI but spent most of her years in Philadelphia, PA. and Cuyahoga Falls, OH. She spent the last 7 years of her life in Seattle. Her faith and family were the cornerstones of her long life. She was a joyful person and a wonderful hostess and combined with our Dad made our home a gathering place for many. Janet was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, James Edwards Douglas in 1993. She is survived by her three children and their spouses: James G. Douglas and Candace O. Douglas, of Seattle, WA Diana Douglas Campbell of Asheville, NC; Janet Douglas Gardner of Brick, NJ; three grandchildren, Nathaniel Douglas, Cassandra Douglas, and Douglas Gardner; and one living sister, Prudence D. String of NJ.
Her funeral and gravesite service was held at Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA. on June 8th.
A memorial service will be held at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral home on June 16th at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Wycliffe Bible Translators: P.O. Box 628211, Orlando, FL. 32862-8211 designated for Paul and Kristin Humber niece and nephew Account # 000281985
