Janet (Smith) James, age 58, of Auburn, Washington passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Janet was born September 25, 1962 in Seattle, Washington. She was adopted into the large loving family of Robert Stevens and Dorothy Woods. She graduated High School in Seattle in 1981, before starting a family of her own.
Janet was a long time employee of the Mukleshoot Casino where she enjoyed serving customers, being with her co-workers, and getting to be the social butterfly she truly was. In her spare time Janet loved to travel. Some of her favorite places to visit were Jamaica and Thailand, amongst many others.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved son Mario Smith. She is survived by her husband of over 16 years Joe James, her Daughter Arianna Green, step son Javon Morgan, and a total of 5 grandchildren, as well as her brother, and 5 sisters; Joanna Ellison (Richard), Annette Livingston (Raymond), Loretta Terry (Brian), Dorothy-Ann Obama (Barak) and Martha Jamerson, many nieces and nephews, and a host of other friends and relatives.
Janet will be dearly missed, and a memorial service in her honor will be held on Saturday August 21, 2021 at 11am, at Immaculate Conception Church, 820 18th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.Evergreen-Washelli.com for the James family.
