

Longtime West Seattle resident Joann Freeberg passed away on November 4, 2015 from a long term illness. She was born in San Francisco.
Joann graduated from West Seattle High School and married her high school sweetheart James Freeberg on December 15, 1951. They were married for 63 years. She retired from Lamonts Apparel corporate office in Seattle and Bellevue, after working there more than 15 years.
Joann was known for her bubbly nature and her infectious laugh. She was also known for her great smile and sparkling eyes. Her vibrant personality uplifted everyone she met.
Joann enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. She also loved gardening, dancing and especially loved her yearly trips to Hawaii.
Joann is survived by her husband James Freeberg, daughters Catherine Freeberg (Burien, WA), Caryl Conlon (Paul) Spanaway, WA. Her son Craig Freeberg(Cheri) (SeaTac, WA). She has five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She also had many nieces and nephews that will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother, Jack Dail.
She leaves a great void in our family.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
