John was a third generation Seattle native and lived his life in Ballard. He graduated from Ballard High School class of 1966 and went on to University of Oregon where he graduated on his 21st birthday with a BA in Economics, class of 1969. John traveled on six continents in his younger days. He was married to Merrilyn Ross and had two children. John was a bus driver and proud ATU587 member and his #1 hobby was Golf. He enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time at his family beach cabin.
John was a wonderful father and a loyal family man. He was loved by many close friends and extended family members. He leaves behind his son Peter and daughter Elizabeth and his grandchildren Gracie and Skyler. He will be dearly missed, so long Rusty
