

John grew up in the Los Angeles, CA area and graduated from San Fernando High School. During his early adult years, he served honorably in the National Guard and the United States Army. He was stationed in South Korea in the early 1960’s as a military truck driver.
Upon completion of his military service John returned to the Pacific Northwest where he excelled as an airplane machinist and worked on many models of Boeing jets. John retired from The Boeing Company after more than 40 years of employment.
John had a strong Christian faith and an enduring interest in studying the Bible. He worshipped for many years at Calvary Temple in Seattle, WA, making many friends there.
John was predeceased by his parents, siblings, and his wife of 29 years, Karen Vande Kamp.
Due to COVID-19, there will be no service. A private burial took place in Lynden, WA.
