Kenneth Richard Williams was born in Mount Vernon, WA, on April 18, 1932, to Charles “Chick” and Bess Maude Williams. He passed away peacefully at his home on March 19, 2021, after a four-month battle with cancer. Like everything else in his life, Kenneth handled his illness with grace and compassion for others, especially his family and caregivers. He never complained, and his only regret was, “I will miss spending time with my lovely family.” Ken had a strong work ethic and believed if you worked hard, good things would happen. Jean and Ken met while Ken was attending the University of Washington. Upon graduation, Ken was called to serve in the Marines, where he made Captain. After returning to Seattle, Ken proposed to Jean in an alley in lower Queen Anne. They were married in 1957. Kenneth lived in Kirkland, Washington for most of his adult life raising three sons with his wife Jean Williams.
Kenneth loved his family and his dogs. He also loved life and the pursuit of finding undervalued real estate. Kenneth and his son Courtney created a thriving and very successful real estate business, which Ken remained actively involved in until the last week of his life. Ken also loved the Seattle rain, making fires, Husky football (attending 5 Rose Bowls with his son Courtney), and hunting and fishing. When he was younger, his spare time was spent in eastern Washington with this lab (Sarge), hunting ducks and pheasants.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Jean Williams, children, Brad (Mara) Williams, Courtney Carl (Sherri) Williams, Randall (Melissa) Williams-Gurian, sister, Carole Williams, and 7 beloved grandchildren. This wonderful husband, father, brother, and granddad will be missed by many.
