

Was born in Hong Kong on September 20, 1949, the daughter of Li, Choi Cho and Kwok, Yuet Ngan, into a family of four other siblings: Margaret, Raymond, Luanda, and Stephen.
In 1967, she graduated from St Paul Co-Educational College in Hong Kong with her six best friends who were together nicknamed "Seven Broccoli" She graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1972.
In November 1973, she started working for the Hong Kong Correctional Services Department where she met her husband. Theresa and Eddie married in 1976.
In 1978, her daughter Quincy was born, and in 1981, her son Bruce.
In 1994, she gave up her career in Hong Kong and immigrated to Seattle, Washington in the United States. Her highest priority was always to take care of her children and her family. She was happiest taking care of family matters and preparing for her children's daily life, so they could concentrate on their study and work.
In 2008, Quincy married Andy Shing and in 2009, Bruce married Mabel Zia.
In 2011 and 2015, her two grandchildren Tori and Lucas were born.
Mabel is also pregnant with a grandson, unfortunately that Theresa will not be able to meet her third grandchild.
Theresa was a devout Catholic, always praying for families and friends. She was very active at St. Matthew's Church where she attended services every week. Her families and friends were always the most important things in her life.
Theresa was first diagnosed with lung cancer in 2016 but recovered after three months of treatment.
In May this year the cancer returned and was readmitted to the hospital couple times. Fortunately, Eddie was actively supporting her daily life and accompanying her to appointments and each hospital stay.
On July 25, she was admitted to the hospital for vascular surgery.
On July 27 night, she was discussing the discharge plan for the next day with Quincy.
On July 28, her heart was weakened to a stop at 2:50am in the morning.
She passed away peacefully at the age of 67 with her daughter on her side. Her son and daughter-in-law arrived shortly thereafter.
Visitation will take place on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 2:30pm at Evergreen Washelli Tribute Center followed by final committal in Evergreen Memorial Park.
