Lauron Edmund LINDSTROM June 11, 1932 ~June 19, 2009 Lauron was born in Seattle, Washington and died in La Conner, Washington after a brief battle with cancer. Lauron is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Rayburn (Michael), and Andrea Anderson (Erik); eight grandchildren, Signe, Sean, Ellen, Hannah, Neil, Steven, Nathan, Brennan; and sister Nancy Lindstrom. Lauron was a 1950 graduate of Ballard High School. He received a BA in Political Science from the University of Washington in 1954, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. Lauron spent two years in the U.S. Naval Reserves in Yokosuka, Japan where he achieved the rank of lieutenant. Lauron began his career as a computer programmer with IBM, and later owned his own computer consulting business. He ended his career with Glen Slaughter & Associates in Oakland, CA. Lauron retired to LaConner, WA in 1989. Throughout his life, Lauron was an avid golfer, a world traveler, and a writer of humor and fiction. A celebration of Lauron's life will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Ray's Boathouse Restaurant in Seattle, in the Northwest Room. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Skagit Valley Hospice.
