
Born August 24, 1924 in Shreveport, LA; passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 10, 2007 in Shoreline, at age 82. Hazel is survived by her daughter, Christine A. Sulik of Everett WA, and her son, Pastor John L. Schneider and his wife Joni of Kent, WA; 3 grandchildren, Laura M. Sulik, Fianc? Russ Dillery of Everett, Joel R. Schneider and his wife Trina of Orlando, FL, and Joanna R. Schneider, Kent; and 1 great-grandchild, Samuel D. Sulik, Everett. Also survived by her brother Thomas Brown and his wife Pee Wee, Shreveport, LA, and her brother Coleman Brown, El Dorado, Arkansas; Nephews Donald Brown, Lake Charles, LA, Coleman Brown, Jr, Little Rock, Arkansas, Taylor Brown, Shreveport, LA, Carr Bates Brown, Jr, Los Angeles, CA; and nieces Carlene Brown Kouri, Santa Clarita, CA and Nancy Brown, Shreveport, LA. Hazel was preceded in death by her loving husband Fritz, the love of her life, in 2003.
Hazel married Fritz Schneider on March 28, 1944. They soon moved to Spokane, Wenatchee and in 1951, to Seattle. She worked part-time, but was a full-time, loving and devoted wife and mother. She was active in PTA; a Blue Bird, Camp Fire and Cub Scout leader; and was active at Bethel in Women?s Circle, Prayer Chain, Senior Bible Studies and, along with Fritz, led home Bible Studies. She enjoyed knitting, was a crossword puzzle master, and loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling the U.S. and Europe with her husband and friends at Church. Hazel loved helping others. If anyone was in need, she was there with a hot meal, financial help or just to listen.
Mom, Grandma, ?Mimi???? we are grateful for the unconditional love you have shown us, your prayers, your encouragement, and your example of living your life according to your convictions, values and faith. We love you!
