Leslie Davis, affectionately known as Mr. Les, was born February 22, 1922 to the union of Jessie Mae and Clark S. Davis. Leslie was born in St. Louis, Missouri and attended the St. Louis School District.
Leslie was a member of the United States Army. He served in World War 2 whereby he was awarded a Purple Heart and was honorable discharged.
In his early career, Mr. Les was the only African American Crane Operator at Boeing Field. He was also a 50-year member of the Laborers International Union of North America Local 242.
Mr. Les gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was a faithful soldier in the army of the Lord and witnessed many people.
Leslie Davis and Teresa Barr were united in holy matrimony after many years of engagement on February 28, 2009.
Mr. Les was preceded in death by his parents Jessie Mae and Clark Davis, brother Barton S. Davis, sister Ruth Hellems, and son Donald Davis.
He leaves behind to cherish his precious memories, his devoted wife Teresa Barr Davis, daughter Dolores Smith, son Terry Davis, daughter Dolores Davis, and sisters Jessie Mae White and Elizabeth Eason.
A host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family will also dearly miss Mr. Les.
