Our guardian angel was born to Muriel and Bruce Johnstone of Tacoma, WA. Survived by her loving husband Bob Helm, for 67 years. Also survived by their four children Bruce, Susan (Jon), Lane (Dawn), Robin (Tim) and was Nana to seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Marilyn was extremely organized, creative, artistic and enjoyed making her Christmas cards and other special cards including book markers. She was a collector of dolls, shoes, glassware and buttons.
Marilyn and Bob enjoyed traveling to Hawaii every year and many times with good friends.
Marilyn taught her children to support and love one another and accept people for their character. She spent most of her life raising her family and in her later years she volunteered many hours for Stevens Hospital in the pharmacy. She then worked for a photographer, hotel and a dress shop.
Marilyn passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. She will be greatly missed by many.
Celebration of life will be held on December 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Lifetime Celebrations, 18224 103rd Ave. NE, Bothell, WA 98011. Parking is available across the street at First Lutheran Church.
