Martha was born in Davison, Michigan to Robert and Donna Potter. A graduate of University of Michigan-Flint, Martha worked as an accountant at Coopers & Lybrand, the Washington State Bar Association, and Technology Access Foundation.
Martha lived in Ann Arbor, Anchorage, and Kirkland before moving to Seattle. She loved reading and frequently visited the library and independent bookstores. Martha also enjoyed playing tournament bridge and traveling with friends.
Martha will be sorely missed by son Andrew Stemp, brothers Tom and Joel, and many other family and friends. Per her instructions, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alley Cat Project (alleycatproject.org) or Literacy Source (www.literacysource.org).
