Polly was the last living child of UW Professor Trevor Kincaid and Louise Farrar Pennell. Born 13 Aug 1925, in Seattle, she passed away 6 May 2025, at home, having lived nearly 100 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husbands; Richard A. Davies, Clifford Chapman, Elmo Calapp; five siblings Marjorie Illman, Dorothy Stapp, Barbara Leaf, Thomas F. Kincaid, Kathleen Allen, an infant son David Brian Fitzgerald and a granddaughter. She is survived by former husband Martin S. Fitzgerald, five children; Richard (Dixie) Davies, Barbara (Craig) Johnson, Janet (Harlan) Reed, Mark (Eva) Davies and Stephen Fitzgerald; 28 grandchildren; 87 Great grandchildren and 13 Great-great grandchildren.
She was a 1943 graduate of Roosevelt High School and attended the University of Washington. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a leader in Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts and served as a Regent of the Elizabeth Bixby chapter of DAR. Her expertise in genealogy research helped hundreds to connect with their family histories.
