His name means gift of God and that he was. Matthew had a beautiful smile, one that not only lit up his face, but would light up the entire room. His smile was only matched by his laughter, a laugh so contagious you would laugh with him, usually till tears rolled down your face, without knowing why.
Matthew had a heart of gold, his sweetness and caring for others was genuine and constant. If a friend needed help, without fail he was there.
Matthew was a good athlete. He excelled in football, baseball and wrestling through Junior High. In High school he focused on his real passion, Skateboarding and playing music.
At 17, Matthew joined the U. S. Army Reserves. One of his proudest moments, and that of his family?s, was his perseverance and completion of basic training.
Matthew held a deep belief in God; we know he is now with God and is at peace.
Matthew will be missed indescribably ? he will have our everlasting love.
