MAX IVERSEN, 4-12-1912 to 12-12-2000. Born in Denmark, Max immigrated to the United States with his family in 1928. Max was a long time resident of Kenmore, WA. In 1929, Max started the family business, Iversen Wrecking, with his dad and his brothers, and ran it until his retirement in 1967. After that, he owned and operated Wreck 'N Bar Ranch Antiques with his wife Frances from 1967 to 1999. Max was an avid horseman and community member. He was the President of the Washington State Horsemen in 1960 and a member of the Evergreen Fair Board from 1959 to 1980. Max is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Frances; and his son Ron. He is survived by his daughter, Diane Cowan; his sister, Elsa; grandchildren, Jeff and Jay Iversen, Dale Cowan, Jill Gradwohl, and Jacque Bemelen; and seven great-grandchildren. at Max's request, there will be no formal services held.
