MILDRED M. LAWRENCE, passed away October 8, 2002. Mildred was born July 29, 1914 near Drumheller, Alberta, Canada to Carl and Willie May Dayton. She was the only girl and fourth child of five children. She is survived by her younger brother Frank Dayton of Florence, AZ.; and by her son Grant Shari Lawrence of Camano Island; grandchildren Tad Lynn Lawrence of Woodinville, Jay Patty Lawrence of Camano Island and Jenna Lawrence of Camano Island; six great-grandchildren Brad, Ben, Chalea, Kaitlin, Leslie, and Emily; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Leslie in 1991. Mildred lived in North Seattle from 1923 to 1997, when she moved to Camano Island. The family has had a beach cabin on Camano Island since 1952 which she enjoyed. She worked for Seattle Public Schools as school secretary for 30 years. Mildred always had a smile and was friendly to all. She knew the Lord and enjoyed Camano Chapel very much. She will be missed by all. Memorial services will be Friday, October 11, 2002 at 11am and will be conducted at Camano Chapel, 867 S. West Camano Drive, Camano Island, WA.
