Norm was a long time member of the Puget Sound Leather Artisans Coop,   Here he is  displaying a sporran shoulder bag that he finished at one of our meetings in 2019.   He loved working on leather projects and teaching others.  But I think his first passion was creating tools for us and others to help shaping and form the leather projects.  See the picture below of some of those tools.  He made modeling spoons, petal lifters, embossers, scalpel handles, mallets, hair blades, skiving knives used to thin edges of the leather, and many more specialty tools.   If you could describe what kind of tool you needed, he could make it.  He made handles and tool parts for one of the world famous leather artist and teacher.   We will miss him and his friendship.

I pray that His comfort and guidance will sustain you during this difficult time.
I remember Norm as a caring and generous man who was dedicated to his job and his family.
We still have the wood seal shaped clock he gave Bob and I. :-)

Can’t believe Norm is gone. Snuggles and I will miss him a lot. Snuggles loved to sit on Norm’s laps while I chatted with Letty whenever we visited.  Norm was a prince of a man and a kind and good friend. May Heaven’s gate opened wide to welcome him. May God give Letty and family members consolations and solace.
