Pamela Ann Endres, 54 of Seattle, Washington, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 10, 2012. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 5, 1957 to James Endres and Laverne Endres (Archumbalt). Pam has been reunited with her father, James Endres; mother, Laverne Endres; brothers, Michael Endres, Jerry Endres and Billy Faircloth.
When Pam was 17 years old, she met and fell in love with Ricky Lamb. The two eventually wed and together they had four children, Jennifer, Ron, Sarah and Holli.
For most of Pam’s working life, Pam was a Certified Nurses Assistant at Providence Mount Saint Vincent in West Seattle. After working there for several years Pam began working in adult family homes caring for the elderly.
Pam had a tremendous passion for life. She loved her children and grandchildren, Davaun, Elijah, Saniyah, Caleb and Aaden with every ounce of her being. There wasn’t anything in this world that she would not have done for them. During the last five years of her life instead of working, Pam cared for two of her grandchildren, first Elijah and then both Elijah and Caleb in order to ensure they were cared for with love and affection.
In addition to doting on her children and grandchildren, Pam loved the outdoors, especially the ocean. She would drive to Ocean Shores and spend hours and hours simply sitting on the beach and listening to the water. The water brought Pam great peace and enjoyment. Another passion of Pam’s was gardening. She loved flowers and immediately upon moving in to a house in Renton, she began planting gardens full of flowers and she watched over those flowers and watered and cared for them with so much love. When she moved out of that house, all she could keep saying was “I hope the people that move in here next take care of the gardens.” In addition to this, Pamela loved candles. Oh boy, did she love scented candles! Every single time she was home she had to have candles burning all around her. Not only that, Pam truly had a passion for dolphins. All of her decorations around her were dolphins. The dolphins and candles truly brought Pam lots of peace and tranquility.
Another favorite pastime of Pam’s was reading. She would love to curl up in her bed with a great book and read for hours on end. She also shared her love for reading with her children and grandchildren. You could always catch her with a book in her hand and a child in her lap listening to her read with passion and love.
Pam was also a HUGE football fan. Her favorite team was the Seattle Seahawks (and of course the Miami Dolphins during the Dan Marino era… we can’t forget about that), she was truly one of their number one fans. Every Sunday during football season you always knew you could find Pam in front of the TV watching the Seahawks, cheering and yelling for her favorite team. Two of her favorites sayings to yell were “go, go, go…” or “what were you thinking.”
Pam was one of the most compassionate people in the entire world. There is not anything in this world Pam would not have done for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She truly loved unconditionally. You could go to Pam with any issue, problem, or simply just to talk and she would listen without response. Even if she did not agree with what you were doing, she would keep it to herself. She simply wanted you to know that she loved you unconditionally and was there for you no matter what the circumstance was. You knew that you could always count on her to be a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
During the final months of Pam’s life she spent every day with one of her best friends that she knew for 30 plus years, Linna Barrett. During this time Linna and Pam spent quality time together laughing, sharing stories and playing Yahtzee, dominos and 10,000. Pam also enjoyed Seafair Sunday at Linna’s house. Every single year she would HAVE to go to Linna’s house for the Seafair barbecue and to get on the roof and watch the Blue Angels fly overhead. It was absolutely one of the things Pam truly enjoyed and was a tradition to her! Pam truly enjoyed being with Linna and sharing her daily life with her. Together they laughed, cried and shared many special moments.
Pam will be missed by lots and lots of people, including her children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and lots and lots of friends. We are all shedding tears now, however, Pam would love for you to be happy that she has finally returned to her Lord to be with her father, mother and brothers where she is not suffering anymore. We are all going to miss seeing her beautiful face, wonderful smile, laughing with her, crying with her, talking with her, and hugging and kissing her. However, as we all know, Pam would never want to see any one of us suffering, so grieve as you will, but remember, she is watching down over each and every one of you smiling and telling you that everything will be okay.
