

Raymond "Dee" Kennedy Lamp unexpectedly left this world on Monday, February 2nd. He was a special man, always a gentleman, always sporting a wonderful tie and he treated everyone the same. He was loved and respected by all.
Born in Spokane, WA February 15th, 1942, he shared his father's first name and birthday. He was the second son of Raymond Holmes and Marie Cunningham Lamp. His older brother, Bob, gave him the nickname 'Dee'. Brothers John, Donald, Thomas and Christopher followed. Tom was there to greet Dee as he left this world.
Dee loved antiques and especially porcelains and art. He collected his entire life. Dee started school in Harrington where his father was a wheat farmer, moved and graduated from Gonzaga Prep in Spokane, the UW and attended The Sorbonne, Paris, where he lived before and after attending the UW. He joined Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Dee worked 39 years for The Bon Marche with side businesses in antique sales and he was a respected appraiser.
Dee leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Melinda (Walsh), three children, Christian (Joanna), Camden and Sarah (John); grandchildren Kamden, John Raymond, Kennedy, Kye and Yesenia. His Lamp nieces and nephews were all special to him. He dearly loved his Godchildren, Kristina, Sarah, Joshua, Adam, Noah and Anne. He leaves behind his four Lamp sisters-in-law, Anita, Lorene, Charlotte and Louise. Dee also treasured the Byrne and Cunningham clans . . . lots and lots of cousins. He leaves behind his brother-in-law, Joe (Joan), sisters-in-law, Erna and Hedda (George). You can never say ' I love you ' too often.
