Ricardo Fabie or "Manong Ric" or "Uncle Ric" to his family and friends, died peacefully on December 15, 2018, at Aldrecrest Rehab Center. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Myrna Lagmay Fabie, his son, Erwin and wife Anabelle and their daughter Sophie; his daughter, Karen Rose and husband Albert and their children, Albren and Kirsten Louise.
Ricardo was born on April 21, 1947. He was the eldest of 6 children, born to Juanito Fabie Sr and Primitiva Pataray. His siblings, who reside in the Philippines are: Juanito Fabie Jr, Mamerta Fabie, Francisco Fabie, Numeriano Fabie and Edilberto Fabie.
He is best remembered for his love of music and singing. Prior to migrating to the United States, he managed a bunch of stage actors in a so-called Sarsuela Troupe. He and his wife were also co-actors and directors of their show. Music was a big part of his life and legacy. Even in the years that he battled his illness, music was one thing that always gave him comfort.
Before his death, he wished that he be buried back in his native land, Philippines. His wife, his children and the rest of his family wish to extend their gratitude to those people, who one way or another, extended/offered support emotionally, physically and financially.
May Ricardo's soul rest in peace.
