

Robert Eugene Cleveland was born on December 31, 1945 in Seattle, Washington to his parents Haldor and Julia Cleveland. He passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Robert grew up in Ballard, Washington and graduated from Ballard High School in 1964. He was an avid Husky fan having attended the University of Washington. Robert served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was stationed on the USS Enterprise. He retired from Boeing where he worked as an Aerospace Manager. Robert cultivated many friendships through a variety of hobbies. He loved his many trips panning for gold throughout the western part of the US. A favorite hobby of Robert’s was harvesting grapes from the Yakima Valley and making excellent wine. He loved spending time at his beloved Whidbey Island property having completed the construction of a new secondary home this past summer. He loved traveling to sunny, warm Florida to visit family and friends. He cherished his beloved “Buddy” Labradors he had over the years.
Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years Linda Cleveland, his son Christopher Cleveland and his daughter Karen Cleveland Atchison. He is survived by his son-in-law Dan Atchison, his grandchildren Toby and Cerise Atchison. Robert is survived by his brother Arne Cleveland, his nieces Cathy Cleveland, Susan Amsberry (Eric), Linda Morasch and his nephew Ron Cleveland (Nancy). He is also survived by his sister-in-law Sheila Moore and nephews Joe Moore (Tricia) and Sam Moore (Andrea). Robert was very proud of his Norwegian heritage and is survived by many cousins in Norway.
