

Robert Kae Lester, Beloved Son Brother Uncle and Friend passed away May 6th 2026 after a long battle with cancer.
Robert was born October 2, 1956 to Jack and Diane Lester; he was named after his father's brother Robert and his mother's brother Kae, two wonderful men who lived wonderful lives just like Robert. He was born in Seattle, and passed away in Seattle at the family home.
Growing up Robert had many friends, everyone knew him , he made friends easily and would help anyone who needed it.
Robert graduated from Nathan Hale high in 1975 after which he joined the Coast Guard. He spent time on Attu Island Alaska at the Loran station, he enjoyed many adventures there, after which he was stationed in Westport, as one of the top Diesel Mechanics he enjoyed being on the boats and fixing them. After discharge from the Coast Guard he went to work at Alaska Diesel Electric working on generators and engines, in 1996 he decided to start a new adventure and moved to Montana, he enjoyed the state but decided to come home in 2000 saying he was tired of the cold winters. In 2000 until he retired he worked at Ventilation Power Cleaning where he was their main Mechanic, he enjoyed working on the trucks, but most of all he enjoyed the people he worked with.
Robert was preceded in death by his father Jack Lester.
He is survived by his mother Diane Lester, brother Steven Lester (Tae Hui) sister Debra Rainey. Nephews Jack Lester (Maureen) Joshua Rainey, Niece Samantha Alvarez (Robert). Great nephews and nieces Michael, Nathan Alexus, Noah and Milena.
Robert will be greatly missed and forever loved.
We will see you again on the other side.
