Robin Ann Sylvester

Robin Ann Sylvester, beloved mother, grandÂmother and friend passed away on Jan. 25, 2011 with her family at her bedside. Robin was born in Essex, Ontario on May 15, 1922 to Leonard J. Wolfe and Dulcie Aubert. She was raised in Chicago, Il.. where after finishing school she met the love of her life, Gilbert Jack Sylvester. They married and subsequently moved to Palatine, Il where they raised two boys and became an integral pan of the comÂmunity.

Robin was an exceptional mother who gave selflessly to her family. She was known for her generosity, thoughtfulness and paÂtience. She was passionate about gardening and loved growing flowers for everyÂone to enjoy. After her chilÂdren were grown, Robin was employed in the insurÂance industry where she earned recognition for many years of dedicated service and a promotion to supervisor at the Arthur T. Gallagher & Co. Insurance Agency. Upon retirement Robin moved to Camano IsÂland, where she enjoyed birdwatching, beachcombÂing, swimming and the arts. She was a talented painter whose work was enjoyed by many of her island friends. She also served her commuÂnity in many organizations including the Camano IsÂland Country Club.

Robin was preceded in death by her husband in 2008. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Mary Sylvester and Todd and Julie Sylvester; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Colin and Kailyn Sylvester and grandson Jonathan Sylvester as well as great-grandson, Aries Rae Sylvester and her late husÂband's sister and spouse Jean and Lee Krueger and niece Kathy Berg. She is reÂmembered with love by all and will be greatly missed.
